Chat with CCSF Engineering Club: A Quintuple Solar Regatta Champion

In today’s episode, Chancellor David Martin talks to Prof. Keith Muller, advisor of the Engineering Club, Abby (president), Jenna, Kenny, Michael, and Steven about what it takes to be part of the winning club.

The Engineering Club at City College of San Francisco is a group of students dedicated to gaining engineering and problem-solving skills. The Club participates in the Annual Solar Regatta sponsored by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Community Education & Technology Center and has won first place in five consecutive competitions. Two-year colleges and universities like; Bakersfield College, California State University Chico, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Chabot College, San Joaquin Delta College, California State University, Maritime Academy, Ohlone College (no show), San Francisco City College, Skyline College, Sonoma State University has sent representatives to compete against the club but has eventually succumbed to the group's superiority in their solar-powered boat's design, endurance, and speed.
